Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee
The Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee (ADRC) was established in 2018 to encourage learning and skill development in methods of alternative dispute resolution at National Law University, Jodhpur. Over the years, the ADRC has conducted several annual intra-university mediation competitions that witness participation from over 100 students. After their participation in the Intra-University Competition, students are allocated national and international mediation and negotiation competitions.
The ADRC has also previously hosted the Deal Mediation Competition in collaboration with several reputed law firms such as Nishith Desai Associates, and Khaitan & Co. The competition witnessed participation from India’s premier universities. Now, the ADRC has taken their goal to promote alternative dispute resolution to a global scale, by partnering with an international law firm to organise the Allen & Overy – NLU Jodhpur International Deal Negotiation Competition. The Competition aims to encourage law students to develop the skill of commercial negotiation to equip them with the skill-set required for real-world application.
